Check out the times that the International Space Station is visible
in YOUR area. When a Shuttle mission is active, this will also list when you can see the Shuttle. Select your country at the left side and go through the menu picks until you find a nearby city. On that first page, you can also find help with understanding the information.
Hobbies & Interests:
Cedar
Point Amazement Park
It's the roller coast on the north coast! Is there
anything more to be said?
Cedar Point has the most roller coasters in one park - fourteen! This is not to ignore the umpteen other rides and attractions on a little peninsula of land out in Lake Erie. There is also a large kiddy area of rides and attractions and the new Camp Snoopy. Next to the Cedar Point Amazement Park is the Soak City WaterPark. Also, a huge sandy beach? And the hotels? And the marina? And the campground? And the go-kart tracks? And the RipCord?
The Cedar Point opening day is a Saturday early in May. On a school day
in May , the annual Physics Day is held at Cedar Point. Physics Day is
when thousands of high school, middle school and some college students
come to Cedar Point to investigate physics and math topics among the ridesand attractions. "How many
g's do you experience at the bottom of
the Magnum's first hill?" "What is the tension in the Sky Ride's cable?"
"What is the angle of the Raptor's first hill?"
New this year is the Millenium Force. The big hill is in excess
of 300 feet. It has received rave reviews!. Check out their
page
for details.
The coasters are:
-
Maverick (new in 2007)
-
Top Thrill Dragster (400+ feet tall)
-
Millenium Force (300+ feet tall)
-

-

-

-

-

-

-
Mean Streak (a wild ride on a long wooden coaster that goes fast)
-
Cedar Creek Mine Ride (a smooth ride with a sprial finish)
-
Corkscrew (a looping, twisting classic)
-
Wild Cat (a wild ride in a small fast car - another classic)
-
Disaster Transport (a dark wild ride in a chute - smooth but hairy)
-
Iron Dragon (an inverted coaster for a smooth fly through the trees)
-
Snoopy Express (another smooth coaster for juniors)
GET TO THE
Point!
And on the way home from Cedar Point, stop and enjoy a great ice cream
concoction at either the Pied Piper (on Rt.
6 east in downtown Huron) or Toft's Dairy
(on Rt. 6 at the western edge of Sandusky).
